AI UGC video costs in 2026: Higgsfield, HeyGen, Creatify, OpenArt, and VibesUGC

What five AI video tools charge, why their credits cannot be compared directly, and how to calculate the cost of an ad you can actually use.

Key takeaways

  • The monthly plan is a minimum spend, not the price of one usable ad. Count every generation, retry, and edit before dividing by approved outputs.
  • Higgsfield publishes a credit range for UGC videos. HeyGen, Creatify, and OpenArt sell credits with different conversion rules, so their credit totals cannot be ranked side by side.
  • VibesUGC is reference-first and charges two credits per requested second of a Copy Video render. Its 200-credit monthly allocation covers 100 requested seconds if fully used.
  • The cheapest tool for a ten-second talking presenter may be different from the cheapest tool for ten variations of a reference ad.

The number to compare is cost per approved ad

A pricing page gives you the cost of entering a tool. It rarely tells you what one usable ad costs. The finished ad may require a better source photo, two rerolls, a new spoken line, captions, and a product shot recorded outside the generator. If you pay for ten generations and keep four, the bill belongs to four approved ads, not ten outputs.

Use the same brief when testing vendors: one product, 9:16 framing, identical duration, resolution, audio requirement, and number of variations. A ten-second silent product shot and a ten-second talking avatar are different purchases. Credit totals between vendors are different currencies; they do not establish a winner.

Published plan and usage snapshots

ToolPublished entry pointWhat needs a live quote
HiggsfieldIts UGC guide quotes 52–142 credits, about $2.60–$7.10, per UGC generationThe preset, clip length, exact Generate-button cost, and plan context
HeyGenCreator $29/month with 600 credits; a free tier lists 3 videos/monthCredit use for the avatar model, duration, language, and export
CreatifyStarter $39/month with 100 credits; Pro $99/month with 300 creditsCredits for the chosen actor, template, edit, and ad format
OpenArtStarter displays $14 and a discounted $13/seat/month with 4,000 creditsBilling selection and credits for the specific video model
VibesUGC$47/month for 200 credits, or $408/year for 2,400 creditsTwo credits per requested second; the render length is the main usage input
Public vendor pages checked September 25, 2026. These are plan or published example prices, not matched quotes for the same finished video. Promotions, billing selection, model, and output settings can change the charge.

Higgsfield says the exact credit amount appears before you generate. Its subscription credits reset and do not roll over; purchased packs expire after 90 days. Its free and Unlimited generations apply on the website, while MCP and CLI generations still use credits. That distinction matters if your team automates a workflow that looked inexpensive in the web app.

HeyGen's pricing page says credit use changes with the model, duration, and complexity of the generation. Creatify lists credits and actor access by plan, while OpenArt gives approximate video counts. Do not divide a plan's credits by another vendor's credit total. Request an account-level quote for your exact settings instead.

A worked example using VibesUGC

VibesUGC's Copy Video flow starts from a reference clip you have rights to and a character portrait. The site charges two credits per requested second. A ten-second render uses 20 credits. The monthly 200-credit allocation can therefore cover ten ten-second renders if you spend all of it on that length. The subscription still costs $47 even if you make only one render.

Suppose you use all 200 credits on ten ten-second attempts and approve four. The allocation is $4.70 per generated clip, but $11.75 per approved clip before editing labor. This is an illustrative scenario, not a claimed pass rate. If every clip passes, the allocation is $4.70 each; if only one passes, the bill is $47 for that asset. That spread is why a published per-generation price can mislead a buyer.

The annual plan is $408 and grants 2,400 credits across the year, equivalent to $34 per month if you use the allowance evenly. Check current VibesUGC pricing before paying. A failed generation refunds its reserved credits, but a finished clip you reject creatively still used the render allocation.

Choose the workflow before choosing the plan

HeyGen is a natural first test for repeatable presenters, longer scripts, and localization; its public plan page emphasizes avatars and languages. Creatify is an ad workflow with actors, templates, product-link input, and campaign tools. Higgsfield's Marketing Studio offers short faceless, talking-head, and silent UGC formats, including a reference-ad path. OpenArt gives you access to many image and video models in one account. VibesUGC centers the approved reference, a reusable character, and the surrounding footage library.

Those are product descriptions, not results from a matched quality test. Run a small trial with the real item. Review whether hands, labels, interface screens, and spoken claims survive the generation. A clip that changes the product is not usable simply because its face looks convincing.

  1. Write one brief and define what a pass looks like before generating anything.
  2. Record the price shown at the generation step, including duration, resolution, audio, model, and number of outputs.
  3. Count every paid render and edit, then inspect the exported files on a phone-size screen.
  4. Divide total spend by approved ads and keep the rejected outputs in the log.

Frequently asked questions

Which AI UGC tool is cheapest?
There is no supported universal winner. Match the same brief and settings, then compare total spend per approved ad. Plan credits and published per-generation examples are not equivalent across vendors.
How much does a ten-second VibesUGC render use?
At two credits per requested second, ten seconds uses 20 credits. The $47 monthly plan includes 200 credits; the total subscription bill still applies even when you use fewer than 200.
Do Higgsfield Unlimited generations cover its MCP or CLI?
Higgsfield's credit guide says free and Unlimited generations apply on higgsfield.ai only. Generations through MCP, CLI, and other automated paths deduct credits.
